Mayor - Edwin A Lambden

Eddie has been a resident of Georgetown most of his life.  After graduating from Sussex Central High School in 1979, he married his wife Karen in March 1980 and joined the U.S. Navy.  Serving until March 1986, Eddie was honorably discharged.  After his release from the military he began working for  the U.S. Postal Service and is still employed there. He just celebrated his 29th year with the agency.  Eddie was chairman of the Planning Commission from 1995-2002, elected to Town Council in 2006 and elected Mayor in May 2008. 

Eddie enjoys watching his son race in the Crate Model division at the Delaware International Speedway.  Eddie and his wife have two children and he serves as the caretaker and treasurer and of the Union Cemetery.

Town Council

Ward 1 - Charlie Koskey

Charlie has been a resident of Georgetown since 2000, and was elected to Town Council in May 2007.  Charlie is an active member of various civic organizations as well as being appointed to serve on the Town's Comprehensive Land Use Plan Update Committee. Charlie and his wife Donna own and operate Chardon's Jewelry located on the Circle in Georgetown.

Ward 2 - Sue H. Barlow

Sue has lived in Georgetown for over 44 years. She served a 6 year term on Town Council during the late 80's early 90's. She was appointed to Town Council in May 2004, when Michael Wyatt was elected Mayor. She attended high school in West Virginia and college at Delaware Technical Community College. Sue worked at DelTech in the English Department and the Resource Department. She is married to James Barlow, and they have 3 sons (2 of which are Georgetown Police).

Ward 3 - Bob Ricker

Bob has been a lifelong resident of Georgetown. He was appointed to council the fall of 2005, to finish Angela Townsend's term. Bob is not new to the political scene, having served as Mayor for two terms, 1998 through 2002, and was also appointed to the Planning Commission in 2002, and elected Chairman of that committee in 2004, and is past President of the Sussex County Association of Towns. Bob has been a volunteer fireman since 1975, serving as Fire Chief; he is an associate member of Millsboro and Indian River Fire Companies, and has served as President of Sussex County Fire Chief's Association. In 2002, Bob was appointed by Governor Ruth Ann Minner as Fire Commissioner of the State of Delaware. Bob has been recipient of several prestigious awards, such as: 2003 Clifford Lee Award in Emergency Medical Services, Georgetown Fireman of the Year 2001, and Governor's Award for Fire Prevention. Bob owns and operates along with his wife, Teresa, Baker's True Value Hardware, located in Long Neck and Millsboro. They have 2 sons, Jacob 21 and Caleb 16. Bob's hobbies are Bass fishing (he is currently President of the Indian River Bass Club), umpiring for Georgetown Little League, and playing with his band the Cruzers.

Ward 4 - Brian G Pettyjohn

Brian is a native of Sussex County.  Born to Ray and Barbara Pettyjohn, Brian grew up on a farm just outside of Georgetown.  After graduating from Sussex Central High School, Brian moved to the Newark area to pursue studies at the University of Delaware.  Afterwards, Brian began his professional career in New Castle County, moving back to Georgetown in 2000.  Brian has been a member of the Georgetown Town Council since 2008.  While on Council, Brian has encouraged financial responsibility, effective use of resources and using technological tools to improve efficiency in Town operations.  Brian has supported smart, managed growth of the Town, development of commercial and retail space that will be of convenience to the Town and surrounding areas, as well as developer responsibility for areas that have been built.  Brian is a member of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, the Delaware League of Local Governments, and the Sussex County Association of TownsIn his spare time, Brian enjoys spending quality time with his wife Kelly and their daughter Mollie.
